In the afternoon of December 28, at 2:00 local time, the first item of controlling shares undertaken by Sinohydro Corpoartion—Lao Ganmontac Cement Plant successfully fulfiled its starting fire and baking cave and held a starting ceremony according to the local customs.  
 

The vice-president of the Plant Zhang Zonglin, Genenal manager assistant of International Company and general manager of the Plant Dunan, managing deputy general manager Wang Guoming, deputy manager Lin Baode and general contractors of Tianjin Yuan and leaders of China Material Handan Installation Company attended the ceremony. 
 

In the afternoon of November 19, on the witness of President Hu Jintao and Chairman Choummaly, Fan Jixiang on behalf of Sinohydro Corporation and Tonmi (Deputy Director of Lao’s Plan and Investment Committee) signed the agreement document on the item of Ganmontac Cement Plant. This project locates in 26 kilometers northeast of MuangThakaek (350 kilometers south of Vientiane), the plant area is 28 square hectare. The project under way in the Cement Plant is fired refractory material with daily output of 2500 tons and a cement production line with the annual output of 1,000,000 tons of Blant cement (310 days). The plant reserves a production line of 2500 tons. The total investment comes to＄68 million dollars, with Chinese holdings of 60%, in which the Group Corporarion holds the controlling share of 45%. This item has come into the period of equipment single-unit debugging in November and will put into production in the beginning of next year. 
 

The success of firing marks that the construction of the cement plant has come into the general debugging period and laid a good foundation to the total operation.
