CNPC releases its first CSR Report
CNPC, in a press conference hold in Beijing on February 28, released its 2006 Corporate Social Responsibility Report. This is the first time CNPC has published an annual CSR Report, which is also CNPC’s first non-financial annual report released independently.
After introducing CNPC’s implementation of its social responsibility, Vice President Zheng Hu pointed out that CNPC hopes to make known the impacts of its operations on economy, the environment and the society by releasing the CSR Report and to constantly improve the performance of its responsibility system so as to pay valuable returns to its shareholders, employees and the society.
Head of CNPC’s General Office and news spokesman Li Runsheng said that CNPC would take the yearly routine release of its CSR Report a vital part of fulfilling its corporate social responsibility.
