The Group Corporation Signs Smoothly Two Projects in Kenya
Sinohydro Corporation and Kenya signed a contract on Kenya Jomo Kenyatta International Airport unloading extension and improvement project in September 25, the price of the contract is 11,530,000 US dollars and the time limit is 15 months. In October 5, Sinohydro Corporation and Kenya signed another contract on Kenya Imari-Ogritoktok Road Project, its total construction cost is 61,710,000 US dollars, and the time limit for the project is 30 months. Up to now, Sinohydro Corporation has undertaken three projects in Kenya and the project contracts amount to 98,000,000 US dollars. This is the first hignway project in Kenya.
Jomo Kenyatta International Airport unloading extension and improvement project is Kenyan international airport fund project, which mainly includes laying down pollution discharge tube (ND150mm-450mm) in the airport scope; laying down municipal administration pollution discharge connection pipeline (ND525mm) from the airport to Rui nearby Nairobi; constructing man-well of all sizes as well as the subsidiary buildings; constructing related draining water facility along sewer line; installing passing-by-on-the-road structure and so on.
Kenya Imari-Ogritoktok Road Project is the first highway project in Kenya, the content of the project includes: reconstruction the original path to an asphalt road with 6.5 meter wide traffic lane and 1.5 meter wide road shoulder (double seal processing), which is 100.5 kilometers long; 4 bridge, 45 box culvert; 30 pipe culvert and restoration of 12 kilometers town road. The fund is provided by Arabic Bank (The African Economy Development Bank and the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries). After the project is finished it will greatly improve transportation in south Kenya, and will play an important role for its local economy.
