Wang Guangtao Inspected the Ethiopia Project of the Group Corporation, Liu Qitao Accompanied to Go
In the early morning of February 27, Minister of Construction Wang Guangtao and his party 6 people reached Addis Ababa, carried on 4 day-long work visit to Ethiopia. Secretary of Party Committee and deputy general manager of the Group Corporation Liu Qitao accompanied the entire journey as the representative of enterprise in the delegation.
On the afternoon of February 27, on seeing Minister Wang and his party, Minister of Ethiopian Mining-industry and Energy Almajah·Teginv said that Ethiopia is a country rich in water and electricity resources, the potential water and electricity installed capacity amounts to 45,000 megawatts. Although the Egyptian water reserves are huge, but only 3% has been developed, thus welcome Chinese enterprises to come to Egypt to develop water and electricity resources, including Sinohydro Corporation, to satisfy the domestic economical development which grows unceasingly and the expansion of electric power exportation scale to the neighboring country.
Almajah said that Tekze Hydropower Station made progress by Sinohydro Corporation, and hopefully to realize the inpoundment electricity generation in this August.
Wang Guangtao said that Tekze Hydropower Station is the key project project which both governments cared about together. He witnessed the openning ceremony of Tekze six years ago on his first visit to Ethiopia. Wang Guangtao believed fully that Chinese corporation would guarantee the project quality and complete the construction task as scheduled. Tekze project will become the model project between China and Ethipia water and electricity cooperation.
